Pairing creates a random device identifier and a secret key stored on both devices, plus the device name shown in the Mac's device list. App settings stay on your device. Remove a device from the list on your Mac or delete the app to erase this data.
Your Mac's screen and your pointer/keyboard input are sent directly between your Mac and your iPhone/iPad, over the same Wi-Fi network or a personal VPN you set up yourself. They never pass through our servers and are never recorded. We do not receive or see this data. Because the screen is streamed live on your network, we recommend using Tapmote on your home Wi-Fi or another network you trust.
Local Network (to find your Mac), Screen Recording on Mac (to send the screen to your paired devices while connected), and Accessibility on Mac (to turn taps and typing into clicks and keystrokes).
If we add new services in the future (for example, connecting from outside your home through our servers), we will update this page and its effective date before they go live.
